วิธีเอาชนะบาป
เมื่อเราจะเอาชนะตัวบาปที่อยู่ในเราด้วยจิตที่อ่อนแอของเรา พระเจ้าก็ไม่มีโอกาสที่จะช่วยเราเพื่อให้เราชนะต่อตัวบาปนั้นได้ พระเจ้าจะรอจนกว่าเราจะยอมแพ้ และสารภาพว่า เราอ่อนแอแบบสุดๆ เมื่อนั้นพระองค์จะนำเราให้มาถึงชีวิตที่สามารถเอาชนะตัวบาปนี้ทุกๆ ครั้งได้
การเอาชนะบาปของเราคือ "การพยายามเชื่อฟัง" แต่การเอาชนะบาปของพระเจ้าที่ช่วยเราคือ "ให้เราวางใจ และพระองค์จะเป็นผู้ชนะบาปแทนเรา"
"วางใจพระเจ้าในกำลังของพระองค์" ไม่ใช่พยายาม
"พักผ่อนในพระเจ้า" ไม่ใช้ดิ้นรนต่อสู้เพื่อจะชนะบาปให้ได้
"เดินสบายๆ" ไม่ต้องทำงาน (ต่อสู้) อะไร
How to overcome sin.
You cannot deliver from the sinner man in you by exercising your willpower. If you do so, you're unable to trust God's way of deliverance. He is forced to wait for one day, the day you can confess your utter inability and fully submit yourself to God's ability. Only when you have come to the point where you stop trying in your own strength. God, then, have the opportunity to provide victory for you?
Man's way is to try, but God's way is to trust Him to do it for you.
Trust in Him, not try.
Rest in Him, not struggle.
Walk in Him, not work.
